Photo’s.  Scrapbooking was about preserving and displaying our photos - once upon a time. Now sometimes it seems they are just an accessory for our hobby - usually quite necessary though!! Photos are the record of our memories. They are the records of our lives and those of our precious children. These moments and memories are worth recording in the best possible way.

 Having a photographer for my husband, I was spoilt when it came to having beautiful photos of our children to use in my layouts. Unfortunately though he wasn’t always around with his camera to capture those special, everyday moments. I had never had to worry about taking photos and my skills were terribly lacking in this area. So. . . .

My learning began . . . . I decided I needed to learn how to take awesome photographs of our children. Click here to discover what I learnt.

 What I noticed was that it wasn’t only my photography skills which changed - and they improved dramatically. My layouts began to change as well. Now I have photos of the everyday moments of life. Those cheeky looks, cute poses and general play. All these photos needed scrapbooking and I’ve had fun. Having nice, professional looking snapshots of our children means I am spoilt for choice when I sit down to scrapbook. I have found my layouts getting more creative and easier when I have great photos to begin with.
